MBG Lab houses Magna Pure LC 1.5 & 2.0 (Roche), QIAsymphony (Qiagen) and Hamilton Chemagen (Hamilton), which are reliable robotic systems for rapid extraction of nucleic acids from different sample types.

Automated spin column nucleic acid Extraction

MBG Lab houses QIAcube instrument (Qiagen), which use for lowthroughput sample prep into the laboratory workflow.

Conventional PCR & Gel Electrophoresis

MBG Lab houses high end thermal cyclers from Biorad, Applied biosystems and NYX technik both for 96 and 384 welled reactions. Moreover, the lab is equipped with different systems of gel electrophoresis to capture and analyse DNA as well as RNA samples.

REAL-TIME PCR

Real-Time PCR (qPCR) is used for detection and quantification of an amplified PCR product based on incorporation of a fluorescent reporter dye during amplification of DNA in real time. It is highly sensitive, accurate and efficient method of amplification and detection of DNA molecules.

MBG Lab is equipped with light cycler instruments LC1.5 , LC 2.0, LC 480 (Roche), Rotor-Gene Q (Qiagen) and ABI 7500 Fast Dx (Applied Biosystems), which can be used for mutation and pathogen detection, as well as gene detection, gene expression analysis, genetic variation analysis, and array data validation.
